the whitener. For those who want the
most drama in the fastest way possible, we can do if for you at our office in

Tooth whitening is not permanent.
You will need a follow up whitening treatment at some point down the road, and
it varies from patient to patient. Keep
your trays for future use. You can
purchase touch up whitening solution from our office at any time, for a nominal
fee.
Reasons
for tooth whitening:
- Fluorosis (excessive fluoridation during tooth
development).
- Normal wear of outer tooth layer.
- Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, etc.).
- Yellow, brown stained teeth.
What
does tooth whitening involve?
This type of tooth whitening usually
requires two visits. At the first appointment, impressions (molds) will
be made of your teeth to fabricate custom, clear plastic, trays.
You will receive instructions as to
how to use the whitening solution. They
are normally worn for only 30-45 minutes daily during the whitening cycle. Most patients see a dramatic change in about
2-3 weeks. People with very dark,
stained teeth may require longer treatment.
Some people develop tooth sensitivity during the bleaching process. Don’t worry!
It will go away.
You will receive care instructions
for your teeth and trays, and be encouraged to visit your dentist regularly to
help maintain a beautiful, healthy, white smile.
